Thank you Corona virus
Sometimes in order to move forward we need to get a kick in the butt. And Corona did that to all of us! I'm going to take this opportunity and push my work forward. So far I worked with hundreds of kids and dozens of educators face to face and it was great, I love seeing in my own eyes the response to the activities and the new ideas that are brought up during the workshops. Corona virus is changing that for me, and you know what? I welcome that (the change, not the virus).
For those who didn't see the book or heard about the " Hero's Quest" here it is in a few sentences- Based on Joseph Campbell's book " The Hero with a thousand faces" we will go through the 12 stages of the Hero's journey, as a group we will see that we are not alone in it, and as you fill out the workbook on your own, you will build a plan to achieve a goal that is important for you!
We are starting with two cycles, one for kids ages 10 to 14, and one for adults. If you choose to do it, or have your kids do it, I can guarantee fun and if you take it seriously you will see real life results as well!
last year Professor Allison Kramer conducted a research on the program and this is part of what she had to say "a statistical analysis of Eldad's Adventure Leadership program revealed participants developed significantly more problem-solving, conflict resolution, and emotional self-control skills after participating in this innovative and hands-on learning experience"
