First program -DONE!
It's funny, I planned this workshop for a long time, made all the arrangements, put a lot of thought and effort into this, and now it is done. 10 days of amazing work with awesome kids and now it is done. Now is the time for reflection and planning.
I'm so thankful for the opportunity that I had to work in Ranch Camp, the staff is great and shows how much they care for for the campers. The scenery is beautiful and there is a great mix of down time and challenges. I was pushed to think harder on my goals, and on how I work with kids and thanks to the people around me, I know now that the next round will be better.
During this workshop I had 10 kids from 10th and 11th grades who are training to become staff members next year. I got them for an hour a day and we walk through the Hero's Journey workbook. When I made that workbook I thought about all the possibilities of what the participants will do with this book. I clearly messed up, I didn't imagine that they will take it so seriously and will make it into a beautiful art work.
you are invited to take a look at some of what they wrote and how they upgraded my work.
This is for me just the beginning, there is so much more work with this project, and I'm excited to see where it will take me and the participants who will be exposed to it.
