New year...?

What is so special about the new year? Why should we have a resolution now as opposed to March 5'th? or any other date... I get it, it is easier to have an easy beginning and an ending date. We think in days, weeks, months, years... so it makes sense- but it doesn't have to be this way. Everyday can be a good day for a "Resolution". And if you dig a bit deeper into the "resolution" thing, it is not a one time event, it is an ongoing mission. If you have a goal in mind or want to create a change it will take time and continuous effort- So really EVERYDAY IS A RESOLUTION DAY.

What is it that you are after? Relationship, more success at work, looking better, fulfillment, quit smoking, healthier lifestyle, change in your career... you name it. If you leave that as a yearly goal without a daily commitment, what kind of progress do you think you will have?

So here is a suggestion - write down your New Years' resolution BUT write it as a daily commitment-

"Today I'll not smoke"

"Today I'll workout"

"Today I will Improve my financial status"

"Today I'll communicate my love to my family"

The year is built of seconds, hours, days, weeks. Make a yearly commitment AND make sure you do it everyday.

Makes sense?
