CREATIVITY! what are the rules of the game? This week they were divided into two teams, and had to create a board game on their own. One team was able to do it, the other had some challenges, ask your kids about it.
RULES!!! Today we talked about rules, we tried to figure out if it will be better to not have rules. We realized that playing TAG with no rules is no fun... ask your kids about how specific rules need to be in order to be clear. I was surprised when they actually said that rules are needed.
Resilience, a characteristic that can push one forward in life. that was the topic today. They had to kick a ball blindfolded, and build a card tower while I was walking around and knocked it down. Their frustration while I destroyed their work sky-rocketed. Then they wrote what's the hardest thing they had to deal with and how they dealt with it.
Trust and empowerment! We started with partner work, one was blindfolded and had to draw an airplane with his/her partner instructions... Then we went outside and dragged my minivan! The look on their faces when they actually moved it alone, was priceless !
Creativity was today's topic. When we walked into the class, tables and charis were set, so part of the activity was to clean it up! During the session they made up games, built a shelter and had a table race...ask them about it.
It is good to be back! TRUST was our main subject today, they had a bunch of activities in which I had to trust them to close their eyes. Most did, some didn't, some admitted, some didn't. It was a great prompt to a conversation about lying...
